Hrithik Roshan meets members of India’s blind cricket team

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and his co-star Yami Gautam met members of the Indian Blind Cricket World Cup team, which are preparing for the tournament that begins next week.

Roshan plays the character of a visually impaired person in his film, Kaabil, scheduled for release this week.

It was exciting for the specially-abled cricketers to have Bollywood stars in their midst. According to the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, the team has been receiving overwhelming support from its fans.

The team has been training at Indore as part of their preparations for the World Cup that begins from January 31.

Ten countries will be participating in the World Cup. Matches for the tournament will be played across nine Indian cities. Ajay Kumar Reddy will lead the India, the defending champions. The Cricket Association for the Blind (CABl) has been promoting and organising cricket for the visually impaired.

Former India captain and star batsman Rahul Dravid is the brand ambassador for CABl.
