I-League: I-League 2021-22 to be held in Kolkata confirms AIFF-The upcoming season of the I-League will again be held in its entirety in Kolkata, according to the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Mr. Subrata Dutta, Senior Vice President, All India Football Federation, and Chairman, League Committee chaired the AIFF League Committee Meeting held via video conferencing today (June 26, 2021).

Besides, AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das and League CEO Mr. Sunando Dhar, Mr. Souter Vaz, Mr. Lalnghinglova Hmar, Mr. Anil Kumar, Mr. Chirag Tanna and Mr. Rochak Langer attended the meeting, while leave of absence was granted to Mr. BK Roka.

I-League 2021-22: How many teams will participate?

Due to the prolonged Coronavirus pandemic situation, the tournament comprising of 13 teams will be held behind closed doors with teams having to stay in a bio-bubble for the entire duration of the I-League. A maximum of 10 teams for the I-League Qualifiers will also be held at a single venue, Bengaluru.
