ICC invites bids for ‘editorial services partners’

The International Cricket Council has invited proposals from entities interested in providing editorial services for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020.

 Proposals may be sent for any one, two or all three tournaments, ICC has stated in a Press release.

 The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 will be held in the United Arab Emirates from 18 October to 2 November, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be held in Australia from 21 February to 8 March while the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be played from 18 October to 15 November.

 This request for proposals (RFP) is designed to attract applications from entities with an extensive, proven record of accomplishment in providing written editorial material in sports, preferably at global events, and with an experienced team.

 The bids should be submitted to RFP.media@icc-cricket.com on or before October 9, Wednesday. Selection and appointment by IBC of the successful applicant(s) are slated for October 14, Monday.

 The editorial service partner shall be required to provide the services in relation to the allotted tournament(s). The scope of work will include the daily match round-ups and sidebars on match as well as non-match days (2 to 3 reports per day of 350-600 words each); coverage of other ICC events and corporate social responsibility activities during the tournament (4 to 5 reports of about 400-500 words each).

 The partner will also have to “turn around media releases in quick time concerning any news or development around the tournament if needed”.
