ICC ODI Rankings: India climbs to No. 2 after series victory, England still No. 1 in ICC Rankings: Already the best side in Test cricket, Virat Kohli’s Indian team had an opportunity to become the no. 1 ranked ODI team. India missed that after defeat in 2nd ODI, but by winning the series and 3rd ODI vs England, India is now the No. 2 team in the ICC Rankings.
India has left New Zealand behind at 3rd place and now with 119 points is in the second position.
England with 121 points is still the World No. 1 team despite losing the series to India.

Australia, the team that defeated India last year in a 3-match ODI series played Down Under, are at the fourth position with 111 points.
As of now, India’s next scheduled ODI series is set to take place in June, against Sri Lanka.
Interestingly, England’s next ODI engagement would also be against the Lankans with that
team visiting the British Isles towards the end of June. So, both teams will have the opportunity to strengthen their position vis-a-vis each other.
