ICC T20 World Cup: Shoaib Akhtar predicts that India and Pakistan will play WC final says, Babar Azam’s side will beat Virat Kohli’s men – Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar feels that India and Pakistan will play the final of ICC T20 World Cup which will be played later this year in UAE. Akhtar claimed that the conditions in UAE will favour India and Pakistan as they have experience of playing there. He is also very confident that the Pakistan side lead by Babar Azam will beat Virat Kohli’s men this time. (India vs Pakistan)
“I have a feeling Pakistan and India will play in the T20 World Cup final and India will lose to Pakistan. Conditions in UAE will favour both India and Pakistan,” Shoaib Akhtar told Sports Tak on YouTube.
India and Pakistan have faced each other 11 times in ICC World Cup (ODI and T20I) out of which India have won all the matches. In T20 World Cup Men in Blue have a 5-0 record against Men in Green. (India vs Pakistan)
The arch-rivals have been drawn together in Group 2 along with New Zealand, Afghanistan and the other two qualifiers from Round 1.

Talking about the comparison between Team India captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, Akhtar said that Pakistan talisman needs to score more runs while chasing.

“If Babar needs to beat Virat and surpass him, he will have to score more runs while chasing and play the kind of innings Kohli has. There is no doubt that Babar Azam can probably be the greatest batsman of Pakistan, but it will take time. We will judge Kohli and Babar after 10 years where they stand,” Akhtar added.
The tournament will be played from October 17 to November November 14 in the UAE after being shifted from India due to the coronavirus pandemic.
