After a thrilling first Test between England vs Pakistan, Stuart Broad has witnessed a surge in his all-rounder rankings following his quickfire cameo in the first innings. The bowling all-rounder has now entered the Top 10 of the latest ICC Test all-rounder rankings.
Also, Pakistani bowler Mohammad Abbas has benefited and he has joined the top 10. Abbas has gained three places and is jointly ranked No. 10 with 769 rating points. He is accompanied by Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood at number 10.
Abbas took three wickets in the first Test match. In which he took the key wickets of opener Dom Sibley and Ben Stokes in the first innings. Due to which England’s innings faltered and the visiting team got a lead of 107 runs in the first innings.

Earlier, England bowling all-rounder Chris Woakes stole the headlines last night as he propelled the Three Lions to a comprehensive win over Pakistan in the series opener. Woakes’ cameo of 80* steered England to secure the first #raisethebat Test in Manchester.
Picking up two wickets in each innings as well, Woakes was awarded the Player of the Match award. Following his stellar display, the right-arm pacer has now climbed to the No.7 spot in the latest ICC all-rounder rankings. Woakes, who has 273 points is now in touching distance of veteran Indian all-rounder Ravi Ashwin who currently occupies the 5th spot with 281 points.
