After suffering a drubbing in the opening match against India and overcoming another scare against Sri Lanka, hosts Australia will be facing Bangladesh at the Manuka Oval in Canberra today (Thursday)om the 10th match of the tournament.
A victory for the Meg Lanning-led side would mean that they will be in contention for a spot in the semi-finals but a defeat could make it extremely difficult for them to go through having lost to India in the opening match. Australia in their two outings so far have won one and lost the other.
Bangladesh will be hunting for their first points of the tournament even as they are pitted against a stronger opponent. Bangladesh in their tournament opener have faced defeat at the hands of India, failing to chase down the 143 run target. Another defeat will further dent the prospects of the team that’s placed at the deck of Group A.
