Willing to watch the ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales next year? Do not fall in the trap if a secondary ticketing website or agency promises you a vintage seat position or stand in the stadium for the game of your choice. Any such promise as of now is false and misleading. The International Cricket Council has so far not confirmed full allocation details for the tickets.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Managing Director, Steve Elworthy, while announcing the sale process for all the remaining tickets for the World Cup in England and Wales next year has confirmed that details about seats and stands will only be confirmed closer to the tournament.

Any ticket bought with full allocation details from a secondary website also face a cancellation threat from the ICC.

“So far fans have only been told what matches they have got tickets for and will be told full allocation details, such as seat and stand, closer to the tournament. This means that any tickets currently being advertised on secondary ticketing sites with full allocation details listed are misleading and may well be cancelled,” Elworthy has stated.

ICC has also recommended that the fans should only rely on the official ticketing website for the ICC World Cup 2019. He has also warned the sites posting misleading information or making false claims.

“We are monitoring this situation with the ICC and are taking the appropriate legal measures against these sites. We strongly urge all fans to buy their tickets from the Official Ticketing Website,” the ICC World Cup MD has warned.
