ICC World Test Championship: India back to No.1 after conquering Gabba fort, Australia move down to No.3; Check out latest WTC standings: Riding on Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill’s heroics on the fifth and final day, inspired India to beat Australia in ‘un’- conquerable Gabba in Brisbane on Tuesday. What is the Percentage of Points system and why it has been introduced?
The ICC Board had ratified its Cricket Committee’s decision to change the qualification structure for the final of the World Test Championship (WTC). Under the changed system, the WTC league standings would be determined by the percentage of points earned by teams.

Now the biggest question: How can India qualify for WTC finals?

With the new rules in place and many series being cancelled or postponed till such time that it would not be included in the inaugural World Test Championship, the road to the final has become a tight race between the top four teams i.e. Australia, India, New Zealand, and England. Not just a tight race, it might be a photo finish. But the ways of all these four teams are intertwined.
