At last some cricket got played and the ICC World Test Championships point table is alive and kicking. The cricket fraternity world over is going ga-ga over the West Indies sensational victory over England in Southampton on Sunday. This was the first time international cricket was played after a gap of 117 days, due to the coronavirus.
With this win, not only the West Indies have a 1-0 lead in the series, they also managed to register their first points on the World Test Championship table. They have secured 40 points from the win and have debuted at 7th place on the ICC World Test Championship points table. England meanwhile has dropped down to 4th place with 146 points.
Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team is still at the top of the list with 360 points, while second on the list is Australia, with 296 points.
