ICC WTC Final: Dinesh Karthik gets best wishes from Sunil Gavaskar for WTC final commentary stint – Cricket Legend Sunil Gavaskar has wished Dinesh Karthik, who is all the best for his commentary stint for the World Test Championship final. They are the only Indians who are part of the star-studded panel for the inaugural WTC Final clash.
“He made his India Test debut when I was a consultant to the Indian cricket team. Now he will make his commentary debut with the WTC finals. I’m sure he will do well in the box too,” Gavaskar wrote on social media alongside a picture of Dinesh Karthik.

“Will be glad to be alongside you, thanks for the blessings sir,” Karthik replied to the post.
As per a report from India Today, the duo is in quarantine in Serbia. They will head to England for the WTC Final.
Karthik was part of the Indian team that played the 2019 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand. It has been two years since Karthik played his last game for India. With two back to back T20 World Cups in two years, Karthik has not given up hopes to make a comeback.
Meanwhile, The Indian men’s and women’s team landed in London on Thursday and then headed to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton to start their quarantine. And the players are looking forward to finishing off their hard quarantine and then start training. While the men’s team will gear up for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand, the women’s team will take on the English team in a one-off Test before playing ODIs and T20Is.
