Bumrah, Axar and other players from Indian squad are currently placed in quarantine at the team hotel in Mumbai. Team India will fly to the UK for ICC WTC Final and 5-match Test series. They will undergo a 10-day quarantine in England on their arrival on June 3.

Jasprit Bumrah, in particular, needs 17 more wickets to become the fastest Indian pacer to take 100 wickets in Test matches. He has so far played 19 Test and needs to reach the milestone in upcoming contests to go past Kapil Dev’s record (25 Tests).

Axar Patel, on the other hand, took 27 wickets in 3 Tests against England. It included 4 five-wicket haul. Despite his heroics, he might not be the first choice player in presence of R Jadeja. Virat Kohli-led India will play against Kane Williamson’s New Zealand in the inaugural ICC WTC Final at Southampton starting June 18.
