Ind vs Aus – 3 players who will start a bidding-war in IPl 2021 auction: The two-month-long series is nearing its end India and Australia are going hammers and tongs in the fourth and final test at Gabba in Brisbane. The ongoing series will be the last before the IPL 2021 auctions. And therefore it has also given IPL franchises an opportunity to scout players they think will add an extra boost to their teams in the upcoming season. Here are 3 players who can start a bidding war in IPL 2021 auctions.
Although an unorthodox style of play, Marnus Labuschange has been very instrumental for Australia throughout the series. In ODI’s he scored 79 runs in three matches including one 50. Although the score might not be very impressive but it is more to do with his inconsistent batting order. However, it is his form in the Test series which might get him an IPL contract. He has been the most consistent Australian batsman in Test so far especially in 3rd and 4th Test. He has scored nearly 300 runs.
Cameron Green’s performance in the third test between India and Australia has certainly put him on the radar of all the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. The youngster is playing his third Test for his country but with each passing innings he has matured as a player. Green in the second innings in Sydney scored his maiden fifty. But it is the T20-like innings post his half-century which caught everyone’s eye.
He started slowly with Steve Smith, started picking up the pace near the Tea session. He took just 15 balls to accumulate 24 runs. While for many it might be slow, it is worth noting his 24-run knock included as a classy straight drive boundary and three massive sixes — something which is seen by Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya.
Mathew Wade might not have been very impressive in Tests, but was a leading figure in the T20 series. In three matches, his score was 80,58 and 7. Interestingly, he scored both his half-centuries as an opener. It is good news for any team which is looking for an opener for IPL 2021.
