Ind vs Aus 3rd Test T Natarajan gear up for Sydney Test: From being a net bowler originally for the tour, T Natarajan could possibly return home an international in all three formats, after being picked in India’s squad for the remainder of the Test series in Australia. The Tamil Nadu-born is leaving no stones unturned to make it possivle. He is looking in good shape and besides bowling in the nets, the 30-year-old is also working on his already good fielding skills, ahead of India’s clash against Australia for the third Test in Sydney
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday shared a video of Natarajan’s training session. The pacer can be seen refining his fielding skills. He was practicing catches in the video and took a spectacular catch while running backwards — normally considered a tough one to catch. BCCI wrote: “Natarajan_91 has been grabbing his chances very well on this tour”.

Natarajan replaced Umesh Yadav, who returned to India after sustaining a strain in his left calf muscle during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur was added to the Test squad as Mohammed Shami’s replacement after the senior pacer suffered a hairline fracture in his right forearm. Both Shami and Umesh Yadav will head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for further rehabilitation of their injuries.
