Ind vs Aus Brisbane Test- Sehwag trolls injury-hit India: Providng a much-needed comic relief to the ongoing injury crisis of India ahead of the India vs Australia 4th Test, former India opener Virender Sehwag came up with an intriguing solution.
With Bumrah, Vihari and Jadeja ruled out for the Test series, Sehwag opined if he should travel all the way to Australia to help rescue the situation.
Team India’s unending injury issues in their tour of Australia continued to worsen as first all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hunamu Vihari were ruled out of the Test series against Australia and now Jasprit Bumrah is set to miss the series decider due to abdominal strain.
Status of Hanuma Vihari: Vihari pulled his hamstring during the final day of the Sydney Test but he continued to bat in pain while avoiding running between the wickets. The extent of his injury is yet to be known and he can be doubtful for the final Test in Brisbane.
Status of Jasprit Bumrah: India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is all but ruled out of the fourth Test against Australia due to an abdominal strain.
It has been learnt that Bumrah’s scan reports showed a strain and the Indian team management does not want him to aggravate the injury, keeping in mind the upcoming four-Test series against England.
Rishabh Pant also sustained injury: Meanwhile, India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant also sustained an elbow injury after being hit by a Pat Cummins delivery during India’s first innings. But the southpaw’s injury is not serious and he even smashed 97 on the final day of the third Test to help India draw the match.

With Bumrah, Vihari and Jadeja adding to the injury woes, India can find themselves in big trouble and might fail to find 100% fit players for the fourth Test, which is scheduled to begin from 15th January.
The situation means – India is likely to include opening batsman Mayank Agarwal in the middle order in place of Hanuma Vihari. Other than this, team India may bring in Shardul Thakur in place of Ravindra Jadeja, while T Natarajan is likely to replace Bumrah.
