The empty seat’s story was deliberated by a local cricket fanatic- AD on Twitter who mentioned John Clarke as the person who never missed a cricket match at Trent Bridge in the past 40 years. His Tweet captioned, “Brilliant story about John Clarke, who hasn’t missed a game in 40 years in Trent Bridge. He has passed, but his friends have still bought his tickets and reserves a seat for him to watch. Lovely”
In the memory of the deceased, who was supposedly missed by his friends during the first Test between India-England, the troop of acquaintance performed the gesture in his loving memory.
