IND vs ENG 1st Test: Rohit and KL have opened the innings for Team India in limited-overs cricket however this is the first time that they are batting together at the top in red-ball cricket. KL Rahul got the opportunity to open the batting as Mayank Agarwal was ruled out of the first Test due to a concussion. There was no other opening option for Team India as Shubman Gill was ruled out of the series due to injury during the practice session. And KL Rahul pushed his position up by scoring a century in a practice game. India has used as many as three opening combinations in the last nine games.
