After Sharma got off to a fine opening start alongside opener KL Rahul, Sharma opened his arms in the 15th over to Sam Curran’s bowling. He slammed four fours to Sam Curran’s bowling claiming 16 runs from a single over.
The right-handed opener got the hosts some crucial runs ahead of the drinks break in the first session of Day 1. The four grounded boundaries neatly swept through the point in the off-side, third slip, and the midwicket.
As the 34-year-old slammed consecutive boundaries in the 15th over, Twitter went talking for Rohit Sharma.
