India vs England 2nd Test – Kuldeep Yadav in Indian Playing XI ? England managed to shock India in the first test and according to former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar in all likelihood will bring change in their bowling line up. According to Gavaskar, Kuldeep Yadav who has been warming the bench for sometime now, could finally be called in to play in the second Test against England.
Gavaskar says Kuldeep Yadav will be picked in Indian XI for 2nd Test: The second test starts in Chennai on February 13, and Gavaskar believes Yadav will be picked in place of Shahbaz Nadeem or Washington Sundar. Though according to the little master, Sundar deserves a place in the team for his all-round abilities and is unlikely to be dropped after 85 not-out in the first innings.
“they (India) will bring Kuldeep Yadav for the next Test in place of Nadeem or Washington Sundar, whoever it is. But they need to look at dismissing England for lesser than what they scored this around,” Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports Network.
“Ashwin is slower in the air and Sundar is slightly quicker. But it was difficult to drop Sundar after his heroics in the Brisbane game. And he showed that he deserved a place in the team with his 85 not-out in the first innings”
Nadeem got a little bit nervous, says Gavaskar
The batting great went on to add that Nadeem seemed a little too nervous for the big occasion in the first Test.
“I think, Shahbaz Nadeem got just a little bit of nervous. I’m not even talking about the way he bowls but the no-balls it’s always an indication that the bowler is a little too anxious. And particularly spinner anxious to get it going. And when that happens, you tend to overstep.
