IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Will England’s chase against India in ongoing Lord’s Test be their highest ever run chase at the venue? Check records: The ongoing second Test between India and England at Lord’s has turned into a cracking contest as it enters Day five. England may seem to have their nose ahead as per the current standings in the match, but the Joe Root-led side’s past chase records at Lord’s against India aren’t that promising. England have chased a highest target of 108 runs in 1959 against the visitors at the home of cricket. This means that India’s current lead of 154 runs in the ongoing Test would be England’s highest successful run chase if the Englishmen manage to pull off and take a 1-0 series lead after the first Test in Nottingham ended in a draw.

For the first time, the English team scored 216 runs against New Zealand in 1965 at Lord’s.
