Ind vs Eng 3rd Test: England register their lowest ever total against India in Tests- England on Thursday registered their lowest ever total against India in Test cricket. Joe Root-led side was bowled out for just 81 runs against India in their second innings in the historic Day/Night Test at Narendra Modi Stadium. England have now registered the second-lowest score against India in the longest format. South Africa tops the list with 79 all out.

Meanwhile, England’s aggregate of 193 runs in this Test is the fewest for them in a Test since 175 runs against NZ in Christchurch in 1983/84 (93 & 82).
Interestingly, England were bowled out for under 200 in five successive innings – only the second time in their history and the first time since 1888.
Despite bowling out India for 145 runs, with only 33 runs lead, none of the England players were able to face Axar Patel and R Ashwin. The duo picked 19 of the 20 wickets in both innings for India. Earlier, England skipper Root picked a rare fifer in Test while Jack Leach took four wickets. India only require 51 runs to win their second pink-ball Test in India.
