IND vs ENG 4th Test: Rishabh Pant silences critiques with solid comeback, smashes fifty at Oval: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has fired for India in India’s second innings against England at Oval. The left-handed opener smashed 50 off 106 and brought up his first half-century of the series. However, no sooner he smashed his fifty, he was outplayed by Moeen Ali just in the successive delivery.

The left-handed player walked the pitch after Ajinkya Rahane’s wicket when India were 296 for the loss of five wickets. Pant jammed little partnership with Virat Kohli and then aggregated 100-run stand with Shardul Thakur.

Soon after Thakur’s wicket, Pant was dismissed in a catch and bowled by England off-spinner Moeen Ali. Pant stepped out to play the big shot and wanted to go over the bowler’s head but didn’t get the right shot.
