IND vs ENG: Prasidh Krishna Bowling Figures: (8.1-1-54-4 on debut):
“It didn’t start off well, and they came hard at us because we bowled poorly, but we had belief. We picked wickets in a cluster and that helped us a lot. I understood after my third over, I can’t bowl full, and then I hit good length areas, and let the ball do the rest. IPL has helped me, but it’s important in a 10-over format it’s more important to come back. I’d like to be known as a hit-the-deck bowler, and I’m trying to get the length more consistently, and I’m going to go back to the drawing board and improve upon it. I hope I can be the partnership breaker for long, because the team needed it at the time, so I was happy to do it. The talk from the beginning was that if we get one wicket it’ll change things around and that’s exactly what happened”
My first day at work was a roller coaster ride. Never over until it’s over. All’s well that ends well.🤞🏻

England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bowl first in the opening encounter of the three-match ODI series between his team and hosts India. The Virat Kohli-led team decided to give much talked about spinner Prasidh Krishna his international debut and the decision proved completely right.
Krishna has been brilliant in the domestic circuit for his team, picking up 81 wickets in just 48 List A games. He has also played 9 First-Class matches and has taken 34 wicikets in them. His strike-rate of 26.7 in domestic 50-over matches and average of 23.07 are indicators of his talent.
Ind VS Eng in 1st ODI: Dream debut for Krunal Pandya as well
Along with Krishna their was joy for the other debutant Krunal Pandya as well. India all-rounder Krunal Pandya was lost for words as he walked up to speak to the official broadcasters after hitting a 31-ball 58 on ODI debut on Tuesday. Krunal hit the fastest by a batsman on ODI debut as he got to the landmark in just 26 balls, helping India post a competitive total of 317 against England in the ODI series opener at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
Krunal dedicated his record-breaking fifty on ODI debut to his father, who died due to cardiac arrest in January 2021. Krunal had gone through a difficult period in the lead-up to his ODI debut as he had to rush home from Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy commitments when his father passed away.
“This one is for my dad. I did get emotional,” Krunal said even as he tried to hold back his tears. Krunal was not able to complete the mid-innings interview as he signalled to the camera that he was not being able to control his emotions.
As Krunal walked back to the dressing room, his brother Hardik Pandya embraced the all-rounder with a warm hug. Notably, the two brothers were playing together for the first time since their father passed away.
