IND vs ENG: Jasprit Bumrah arrived into the series against England under serious pressure, having struggled to make a mark in the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand. The Mumbai Indians star was criticised for his recent form and some even called for him to be dropped from the side, but the fast bowler roared back in some style during the first Test at Trent Bridge.

IND vs ENG: Jaspirt Bumrah picked up a four-wicket haul in the first innings to help Team India bowl out England for a paltry 183. In the second innings, the 27-year-old did one better picking up a five-wicket haul to restrict England’s lead to 208. India were 52/1 chasing in the fourth innings before rain played spoilsport and the two teams had to settle for a draw. Bumrah nonetheless ended up on the Trent Bridge honours board for the second time in his career. He will now gear up for India vs England 2nd Test, starting on Thursday at Lord’s.
