Ind vs Eng Test series: ICC announces same match officials for next two Tests in Ahmedabad- ICC announce same match officials for next two Tests in Ahmedabad- The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday announced the match officials for the third and fourth Test between India and England. No changes have been made to officials list for remaining Tests. Javagal Srinath will continue as the match referee while Nitin Menon and Anil Choudhary will join the elite panel list of umpires for Pink-Ball Test. Virender Sharma will join Nitin on-field in the fourth Test.
The delay in match officials confirmation was due to the fact that ICC analysed the performance of Sharma and Chaudhary in the first two Tests in Chennai. The main impression was that Chaudhary committed a major error as TV umpire but did well on-field in opening Test.
The third Test will begin on February 24 and the final Test is slated to be played on March 4.
The ICC has also named on-field umpires for the three ODI matches in Pune. Anil Chaudhary has been appointed TV umpire for the first two ODIs on March 23 and 26. Sharma will replace Chaudhary in the final ODI on March 28.
