Ind vs Eng – Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri ecstatic after ‘hattrick of series wins’: India vs England 3rd ODI went in favor of the home team as England felt short while chasing 330 runs. This win in the 3rd ODI marks the third straight series victory for India. India defeated the World Champions in all three formats of the game. India conquered the Test series 3-1. They took over the T20I series by 4-1 and finally the ODI series is won 2-1 by India.

India head coach Ravi Shastri took to social media to heap rich praise on his wards after India sealed their 5th series win since their return to international cricket

“Congratulations Guys for holding up and having a season of a lifetime in the toughest of times across all formats and hemispheres against 2 of the best teams in the world. Take a bow,” Shastri, who had often stressed about the difficulty of being in bio-bubbles for as long as India players have been, wrote in a social media post. A majority of the India players have spent their last 7 months in bio-secure bubbles barring a week’s break after the Australia tour.

Virat Kohli seemed extremely proud of the performance by his team all throughout the tour. The striking thing in the Test and T20I series was that India had lost the first game of the series. In the Test series, India came back strong to win the series 3-1 while in the T20Is India came back and won four matches to seal the series 4-1.

Speaking at the post-match conference, an ecstatic Virat Kohli said, ” This win is sweet because we won all three series (Test, ODI, and T20I), and it’s against the top side in the world, It’s been an amazing season, series, and this was a great way to finish it off.

He added, “When the top-two battle each other, we’ll get exciting games. No one will throw in the towel, and Sam played a really good innings to keep them in the hunt. However, our bowlers picked up wickets, and it moved from us finishing it off to them getting over the line before Hardik and Nattu pulled it back.”

Ind vs Eng: The 3rd ODI was like a see-saw battle between India and England. Indian openers started pretty well but later, Rohit fell when India’s score was 103-0. India lost the top order for 54 runs. At the end of 25 overs, India’s score was 157-4. But Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya played well and did not let India’s run rate go down. Pant and Pandya scored 78 and 64 respectively. Shardul Thakur’s flurry of sixes helped India reach the score of 329 runs.

England had a poor start and couldn’t capitalize on the form that they had in the first two ODIs. England were 95-4 in the 15th over. But, the lower order batsmen came to the rescue of the England innings but only to some extent. The eighth wicket partnership between Curran and Rashid looked threatening for India. Sam Curran went down like a fighter but only to be short by a few runs.

Ind vs Eng: Following India’s scintillating win, former cricket legends took to Twitter to pour wishes and congratulatory messages for the Men in Blue.
