Ahead of the Day’s 4 play, the Indian contingent celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day on England soil. The celebrations were led by Indian skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri who hoisted the Indian tri-colour.

The video by put out by BCCI on social media captioned, “On the occasion of India’s Independence Day, #TeamIndia members came together to hoist the flag.”
The Indian contingent in England then sung the national anthem in unison. Soon after the national anthem was also sung, the Indian contingent raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
Batsmen Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, who flew to England in the first week of the month, were also spotted in the video. The duo has completed their isolation and was seen at Lord’s watching India-England Test on Day 2. The two will now be available for selection for the 3rd Test match, which kicks off on August 25.
India vs England: Test series so far
The first match of the 5-Test series on the England tour was played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Team India was very close to victory on the last day of the match but concluded in a draw following incessant day on the Day’s 5 play.
The second Test at Lord’s in London is currently going on from 12 August.
