Ruturaj Gaikwad – Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad is likely to make his debut in the 2nd game for Team India. He had an extraordinary IPL season this year where he smashed 196 runs in seven IPL games for CSK where he opened the batting for the team. He scored two fifties in IPL 2021 which helped him get his maiden call-up for Team India. He is likely to open the batting in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.
Devdutt Padikkal – Royal Challengers Bangalore opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal is also likely to get his first chance to play for India in the second T20I. As per reports he will be available for the game. The left-hand batter had scored 195 runs in six games of IPL 2021 phase 2. The youngster also managed to score a century in this season. His attacking yet classic shot-making and consistency helped him get his first call-up for the Indian team. In the absence of Prithvi Shaw, he will get a chance to start India’s batting.
Chetan Sakariya – Rajasthan Royal’s Chetan Sakariya was the find of the season for the franchise. The left-arm pacer picked seven wickets in seven games with an economy just above 8. The 23-year-old made his India debut in the 3rd and final ODI of the series against Sri Lanka. He returned with the figures of 2/38 in his debut match. However, he could not help India cross the line.
Nitish Rana – Kolkata Knight Riders talismanic batsman Nitish Rana scored 201 runs in seven games in the first phase of the IPL 2021. He scored two fifties in it. In the last four IPL seasons, Rana has scored at least 300 runs. His consistency in IPL has paid him rich dividends. He is likely to finish to do the finishing job for the team in the middle order.
