Now that the series is level Sri Lanka will look to continue the momentum and claim their first-ever series win against India in the shortest format of the game. The entire series has been under the threat of rain. In the 2nd T20I, there were few passing showers at the end even though it did not last long and the game was successfully completed. In the third match of the ODI series, due to rain, the match was reduced to 47 overs per side.

Weather Forecasts for Thursday (IND vs SL rain)

On Thursday evening there is a slight chance of rain. Even a passing shower will make the outfield wet and eventually affect the run-scoring at the R. Premadasa Stadium in the third T20I. The humidity will also be high. Thus there is a chance that rain might interrupt the match.

IND vs SL 3rd T20I: Series Decider (India tour of Sri Lanka)

Dhananjaya de Silva’s unbeaten knock of 40 runs followed by Chamika Karunaratne’s cameo of 12 runs helped Sri Lanka defeat Team India by four wickets in the second T20I of the three-match series here at the R Premadasa Stadium on Wednesday. With this win, Sri Lanka has levelled the three-match series at 1-1. The final game will be played on Thursday.
