Prithvi Shaw Explosiveness

Shaw has returned to the Indian side with rolling drums and thumping chest. Shaw marked his long-awaited return to the Indian side with a four in the first ODI. He nearly replicated the same scenario in the second clash and went smashed three fours in succession in the first over of India’s batting.

On both occasions, he exploded with an impressive strike rate. The 21-year-old missed his much-deserved half-century in the first clash where he departed at 43 after smashing 9 fours. The duo had long been vying for an opportunity to make a comeback, and the ongoing one against Lanka has proved to be the one for the two.

Deepak Chahar as a batsman

It is indeed a blessing to see Team India’s extended batting depth in their lineup. Deepak Chahar, the pacer flowered up as a promising batsman following his 69-run match-winning knock in the second ODI.

The No. 8 for India will now have some heavy competition – Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar all will vie for the spot for India’s T20 World Cup team.

Rahul Dravid as a coach
Dravid’s maiden appearance as the Head coach for team India in an international tour has kicked off with all glitters. After claiming an easy win in the first contest, team India showed utmost composure to pull off a stunner in the second clash.

Dravid’s promptness to promote the batsman as per the situation paid off which is an excellent sign as a coach.

From sending out the much-needed guidance from the dressing room to altering the order in need, Dravid has shown, he has all sorted at his end and that too with some grace.

IND vs SL LIVE – The Biggest Worry for Team India:

Hardik Pandya form and fitness hugely questionable – Is he fit? Has he recovered? Is he committed ? Where is Hardik Pandya the all-rounder?

All of these questions about Hardik Pandya have further started making noises. If first two ODI’s is some indication, the answer to all of the above questions is – HARDIK PANDYA is not fit to ball in INTERNATIONAL CRICKET.

No sooner Pandya grabbed the ball in the first ODI, he showed signs of discomfort in his lower back in the next clash. Pandya looked in visible pain while bowling against Sri Lanka in 2nd ODI. The uncertainty with the bowling and the lost wicket-taking ability have both been concerns for the team. Though he lent some disciplined bowling, he returned without opening the account in the one outing he came for India.
