IND vs SL T20 series: Sri Lanka head coach Mickey Arthur has advised his players to stay away from social media as the Islanders prepare for their three-match T20 series against India. The hosts lost the ODI series 2-1, despite Shikhar Dhawan’s side missing a host of regular international players. India won the first two games, with Sri Lanka clinching a win in the final game with the help of Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapaksha.

Mickey Arthur was cut a frustrated figure during the ODI series, especially during the 2nd ODI when Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar rescued India from the jaws of defeat. Now with eyes on the T20I series, Arthur has urged his players to stay away from social media and negativity. Sri Lankan journalist Rex Clementine quoted Mickey Arthur saying, “There are some idiots out there who think they know everything. But they know nothing.”

IND vs SL T20 series: While the ODI series did not bear much fruit for Sri Lanka, the performances of Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapaksha were particularly encouraging for the hosts. Both have been previously dropped from the national team for poor fitness but have returned following an improvement in their standards. Arthur will hope that the duo can motor along well and continue their exploits from the third ODI into the T20I series. With the Lankans set to play in the T20 World Cup qualifiers, momentum will be key for the Islanders as they gear up to face off against India.
