Ind-W vs SA-W 3rd ODI: Mithali Raj completes 10,000 runs in international cricket, Twitterati go gaga over her achievements, calls her ‘legend’, ‘GOAT’- India captain Mithali Raj on Friday reached a historic landmark. She became the first woman cricketer in India to complete 10,000 runs. Overall she is second after England’s Charlotte Edwards.

The 38-year-old reached the milestone when she completed 35 runs against South Africa Women in the 3rd ODI. Mithali Raj has over 75 fifties and 8 centuries in international cricket. She had made her debut against South Africa in 1999.

She is only 272 runs behind Edwards to become the all-time highest scorer in women’s international cricket. Former England player had amassed 10,273 runs across all formats.

In the third ODI, South Africa Women won the toss and elected to bowl first. The 5-match ODI series between the two teams are currently tied at 1-1. India would like to give a winning tribute to the living legend in today’s match and the ODI series.
