India at US Open 2021: Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna: India’s Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will be in action on Day 5 at US Open 2021. Sania Mirza, in particular, will look to shed off her women’s doubles loss and start afresh in mixed doubles. On the other hand, Rohan Bopanna will play doubles alongside Ivan Dodig of Croatia which got delayed on Thursday due to incessant rain accompanied by thunderstorms. India’s hopes pins on these two players after the youngsters in form of Sumit Nagal, Ankita Raina, Prajnesh Gunneswaran, and Ramkumar Ramanathan crashed out in the US Open 2021 Qualifiers last week.

Sania Mirza lost her opening round match in women’s doubles to Raluca Olaru and Nadiia Kichenok. She had partnered with Coco Vandeweghe of America. She has now joined Rajeev Ram of the United States against the pair of Kveta Peschke and Kevin Krawietz.  Bopanna- Dodig will take on James Duckworth and Jordan Thompson in the opening round of men’s doubles.
