India to host Asian Cup 2018 in UAE - InsideSport

The Board of Control for Cricket in India will host the Asia Cup 2018 in the UAE. The matches will be played at Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The Asian Cricket Council board at its Executive Board meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has unanimously approved to stage the Asia Cup 2018 in the U.A.E. The marquee Asian cricket competition will be played between September 13 and 28 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. BCCI has been granted the hosting rights.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and the winner of Asia Cup qualifier competition will compete in the 50-over a side one-day international competition.

The ACC Board has also agreed that some matches of Emerging Teams Asia Cup will be played in Pakistan and the majority of the tournament will be hosted by Sri Lanka. The modalities of the tournament will be worked out later.

The ACC Board has also proposed to have the continental cricket body’s annual general meeting in Lahore, Pakistan
