47.45 MILLION. That is the number worth consideration for Guinness Book of World Records. This cricket viewership history is created during the India-Pakistan Champions League encounter on June 4, Sunday.
The Champions Trophy tie between the arch foes on June 4, reached more than 20 crore TV viewers. In broadcast parlance the match registered a cumulative reach of 201 million. The number for the single match is closer to 50% of the aggregate viewership of the entire Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 season. The high TRP IPL has registered a total reach of almost 411 million during the one and a half month, 60-match duration.
The BARC data for the week has during the India-Pakistan match clocked a whopping 47.45 million impressions. Term impression stands for the total number of viewers at any time during the broadcast of an event. The number is highest ever recorded by BARC for an international cricket tie.

Broadcaster STAR Sports has televised the match on its four channels with Hindi and English commentary and then DD’s free to air transmission also added to the viewership numbers.
