Kohli rested for T20 series against Bangladesh: India-Bangladesh Series

As expected Virat Kohli will not play the three-match T20 International series against Bangladesh.

The first match is scheduled at Kohli’s home ground Delhi on November 3.

While Sanju Samson and Yajuvendra Chahal make a comeback, Shivam Dube will be the new face in the squad.

Shikhar Dhawan finds a place in the T20 squad in spite of a not so impressive show during the Vijay Hazare Trophy. None of the frontline Indian seamers – Jasprit Bumrah, Mohamad Shami or Bhubaneswar Kumar – are named to the squad.

T20 Squad: Rohit Sharma (capt), Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Ayyar, Rishabh Pant (wk), Washington Sundar, Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar, Khalil Ahmad, Shivam Dubey, Shardul Thakur.

Kohli will return to lead the team for the two-Test against the visitors, starting from November 14.

Kuldeep Yadav, forced out from the last match against South Africa with an injury, returns to the 15-man squad at the cost off Shahbaz Nadeem. Rishabh Pant stays as wicketkeeper along with Wriddhiman Shah.

Schedule:  First Test – Holkar International Stadium, Indore (Nov 14 to 18); 2nd Test – Eden Gardens, Kolkata (Nov 22 to 26).
