Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer is gearing up to take on Australia in the limited-overs format starting November 27. The youngster is coming into the seires after a scintillating performance in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 where he amassed 519 runs in 17 games. He has been training hard to take his place in the playing XI and has also been discussing tactics with his senior from school and college Ravi Shastri.
Yes, this unknown fact was revealed by none other than the Indian coach himself. Shastri took to Twitter and shared pictures of Iyer and himself involved in a conversation. He then also posted a funny caption where he revealed that both of them had studied from the same school and college .”It needs one to know one. Seemed the cheeky sort. Then realised he was same school and college as me with Shreyas Iyer,” he wrote.

Iyer is an alumni of Don Bosco High School, Matunga and did his college from Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.
He has shown a lot of promise in the last year and is likely to be India’s No.4 batsman in ODIs and T20Is. Moreover, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly planning to keep him as stand by, if Rohit Sharma does not get fit for the Test.
India begins the two-month-long series from November 27 with three-match ODI, followed by as many T20Is and four Tests.
The T20Is will be played in Canberra (4 December) and Sydney (6, 8 December). Kohli will captain India in the limited-overs series (ODI & T20I), as well as, the first of four Tests.
