India tour of Australia: Virat Kohli and team lands in Sydney, will stay at Pulman Hotel; Check pics

Indian cricket team reaches Australia : The Indian team has landed in Australia for a two-month tour. Fans had spotted the team getting into the bus and posted pictures on their respective Instagram pages. India’s Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was seen with his wife Radhika Dhopavkar and daughter.According to the sources, they have been housed in the outskirts of Sydney, away from the fans. They will now go into 14-day quarantine as per the COVID-19 protocols.

India will begin the tour with three ODI’s, followed by three T20I’s and four-Test series. Until then they will be staying at the Pulman Hotel in Sydney Olympic Park area. Their hotel will be about 15kms (30-minute by car) from Inter-Continental Hotel, where they were usually put up.

Cricket Australia (CA) has also solved BCCI’s biggest concern regarding training during quarantine. The nets for the team during their two-week isolation will also be around the Olympic Park area. Post-November 26, they will go to Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Team India will be seen in a new attire when they take the field against Australia in the limited-overs series. According to a report in Outlook, the new jersey is retro-themed and has been inspired by the Seventies. The new kit will have a Navy Blue shade, a shift from the conventional sky blue colour that the team has been wearing in recent years.

The Navy Blue shirts will also sport the name of the BCCI’s new kit sponsors – MPL Sports. Last month, the BCCI had signed a three-year deal with MPL Sports. MPL has replaced Nike as Team India’s new kit sponsors.
