In a video shared by BCCI, the fielding coach R Sridhar reiterated the fielding practice sessions that team India is currently undertaking. The Indian cricket team will take on Select County XI in a 3-day practice match at Durham Cricket Ground from Tuesday.

The 2-minute clip showed the boys involving direct hits, throwing accurately at the bowlers’ end to ensure smooth warm-up. The ‘Men in Blue’ then engaged in a light-hearted underarm ball throwing competition that attempted to probe players’ reflexes. The fielding coach asserted that the activity is often the mist underestimated practice.
The competition was won by the Virat Kohli contingent which also had Rohit Sharma. The opposition team comprising R Aswin and Cheteshwar Pujara mockingly blamed Sridhar for backing Kohli’s side in the competition.
The video concluded with final remarks from Sridhar who is quite happy with the practice proceedings of the Indian Team.
India Tour of England – India vs Select County XI LIVE: The world number two test side will use Emirates Riverside as a home venue for their preparations this summer, and will get underway with a three-day game against a county select on Tuesday 20 July at 11am (UK Time)
The three-day game will see a number of players from the county circuit feature as they go up against the Indian national side. Play will get underway at 11am on Tuesday with 90 overs scheduled per day with the game being played strictly behind closed doors.
