India Tour of England: Team India stars are enjoying some quality downtime in the UK before they head to Durham to prepare for the upcoming five-match Test series against England. Team India pacer Ishant Sharma has been enjoying his downtime and has indulged in golf during the break. The Delhi Capitals pacer wrote, “eyes always on the ball, no matter what sport.” The veteran pacer was impressive during the World Test Championship Final and will hope to continue his good form in the upcoming series. Ishant Sharma has traditionally performed well with the Dukes ball in England and will be a key part of Virat Kohli’s plans, as Team India looks to bounce from their World Test Championship Final defeat.

India Tour of England: Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane was seen sweating out in the gym as he prepares for the tour of England. The Indian vice-captain has been on a lean patch since his hundred at the MCG, but looked solid in the WTC Final, and will hope to deliver the goods during the five-match series. Ajinkya Rahane was seen practising arm exercises with a basketball in one frame and a dumbbell in the other as he “strives to be better”.

India Tour of England: Team India players received their second dose of vaccination (Covishield) on July 7 and 9. Players were tested for COVID-19 on Saturday, who will undergo further testing in the coming weeks. The procedures have been intensified following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the England camp, with seven personnel testing positive ahead of the Pakistan series. As per a Cricbuzz report, “Once in Durham, the Indian squad will not be put in any bubble, as has been the case in every cricket series the team has been involved in since last year. The players have been told that it will only be a bio-secure environment with a strict advisory to maintain all the social distancing norms.”
