India Tour of England – Virat Kohli’s Special Nets Session: Virat Kohli’s 2 hours ‘super nets session’ on the sidelines of practice match- What comes as a piece of good news, India skipper Virat Kohli came out to bat during the lunch session of India vs Select County XI Day 2 after sitting out of the playing XI. The right-handed batsman came out to bat and practiced for at least 2.5 hours and took throwdowns from India bowlers and took some tips from India batting coach Vikram Rathour. In a video shared by Durham Cricket, Kohli can be seen practicing his shots as it is almost impossible to keep him away from the game. Sharing the video, Durham Cricket tweeted, “A lunchtime net session for India captain at Emirates Riverside.”

 

Notably, Kohli felt some stiffness in his back on late Monday evening and he had been advised rest from the three-day first-class warm-up game by the BCCI Medical Team.

Jofra Archer and Chris Woakes have been left out but Virat Kohli will have to face the likes of Ollie Robinson, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, and Sam Curran as he eyes to lead India to a Test series win against England.
