India tour of Sri Lanka: Hardik Pandya getting T20 World Cup ready, says “Want to bowl in all the games” – Snubbed from India’s Test tour for not bowling, India all-rounder Hardik Pandya said he is getting ready to bowl in all games of ICC T20 World Cup. The all-rounder is recovering from a back injury and is yet to get 100% fit to bowl longer spells in matches.
“For me, I want to make sure, and I will be able to, that I bowl in all the games of the T20 World Cup. I am just trying to be smart and make sure that I don’t miss that. My full focus is on the World Cup,” Hardik told the Times of India.
India tour of Sri Lanka: Hardik Pandya is one of the vital clogs of the Indian team combination as he gives India the much-needed balance.
“Yes, on the bowling front, what matters is how fit I am. Even after my surgery, I didn’t drop my pace. My bowling is related to my fitness. The fitter I get, the better it comes out. Whenever I play, I don’t want to play at 50%. When I play, I will play at 100%,” added the Mumbai Indians all-rounder.
Hardik made his comeback into the Indian team in the series against England in March this year. In the ODI series, he could only bowl 26 over in the entire series. In IPL 2021 did not bowl for Mumbai Indians which was a warning sign for Indian selectors.
Hardik will now feature in India’s tour of Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series starting with T20Is on July 13.
