Sri Lanka tour India squad – Schedule, Dates & Indian Team: The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) fulfil its FTP commitmment towards Sri Lanka but it seems it will be half hearted. India has agreed to tour Lanka for 3 Match ODI & 3 game T20 Series but without their top stalwarts who will be busy preparing for test series against England. Neither Indian ODI captain Virat Kohli will be available for the tour, nor his deputy Rohit Sharma or even bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah & Mohd Shami.

India tour of Sri Lanka – Schedule, Dates & Indian Team: The tour has been confirmed by BCCI for July for a white-ball series comprising three ODIs and three T20s. According to information available, the series will commence with the ODIs on July 13, 16, 19 followed by T20 segment on July 22, 24, 27.

It has been announced by SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) that all the six matches will be played in Colombo. 

Sri Lanka tour India squad – Likely Squad for the tour: Though BCCI is yet to officially announce the Indian squad for the tour – but one thing is certain, none of the England bound player will be available for tour to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka tour India squad: India probable squad vs Sri Lanka- Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson, Prithvi Shaw, Deepak Chahar, Rahul Chahar, Jaydev Unadkat, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy and Rahul Tewatia are some of the players who will be in the mix.

Big names such as skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma will not be part of the tour as they will be engaged in a marquee five-match Test series in England.

“Yes, it will be a team of white ball specialists. It will be a different team,” said BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, making it clear that the cricket board also has the preparation of white ball regulars in mind.

With Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and few others set to miss out because they will be in preparation for the England Tests, the selectors will pick from an abundant IPL talent pool that has been honed through the India A programmes under Rahul Dravid, the NCA director.

Also there are talks that Rahul Dravid and his staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) will be asked to accompany the group as coaches.
