India Tour of Sri Lanka: Premadasa press box operations closed after Covid positive case: After a Covid positive was detected in Sri Lanka Cricket employee working in the press box, operations at R Premadasa Stadium (RPS) press box were closed during the first T20I between Sri Lanka and India. Though the SLC employee was detected positive before the commencement of the T20I game, the contest between India and Sri Lanka continued without any hassles.
As per the reports in DailyFT, “he was found to be positive during an Antigen Test carried out at the Stadium yesterday evening, a few hours before the commencement of the game.’
India Tour of Sri Lanka: Abiding by the directives of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka Cricket decided to close the press box operations soon after the identification of the positive case.
As per reports, the operations in the press box will resume from the second T20I tomorrow (27 July) upon health clearance.
India Tour of Sri Lanka: The reports furthered stating that the SLC employee who tested positive is currently undergoing medical protocols pertaining to COVID-19.
