India Tour of Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka Cricket Record Revenues: In another example of why BCCI and the Indian cricket is called the GOLDEN EGG of world cricket, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is set to earn record revenues from the India Tour of Sri Lanka. According to the SLC President Shammi Silva, the 3 match ODI & 3 match T20 series vs India will clock record $12 Million revenues for the board. The series is scheduled to start on 13th July with 1st ODI between Shikhar Dhawan & Dasun Shanka led Sri Lanka.

“We had initially finalised to host three matches. But after some negotiations with the Indian Cricket Board we managed to increase the matches to six which will enable us to raise an additional US $6 million in revenue, overall US $12 Mn in revenues” said Silva.

The series has got some marquee sponsors from India who further will boost SLC’s revenues from the six match series. According to the information available Unacademy has been signed up as title sponsor for ODI Series & CoinDCX will be the main sponsor of T20 series between the two nations. Other than this Dream11 & Skoda will be the Co-Powered by Sponsors for both the series.
“SLC will be able to provide a large income to the country with Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa’s vision of building a strong economy through Sports,” added Silva. “We missed out on several tours as scheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, yet we did not reduce the monthly salaries and allowances of our cricketers.” “None of their facilities were deducted either. India Tour of Sri Lanka: Sony Sports to LIVE Broadcast in 4 languages
Sony Sports will broadcast the 3 Match ODI and 3 game T20 series in multiple languages & at-least 4 to 5 channels. Other than this SonyLIV will be live streaming the series starting from 13th July.
