“I think India will just get better and better with more cricket. India is the best Test playing nation there is no doubt about it. But it’s even better in the shorter formats of the game. Just look at the team. It’s just invincible. You have Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan at the top followed by Virat Kohli. Undoubtedly the best top order along with KL Rahul, who I think is the best T20 batsman in the world. Then you have highly talented Shreyas Iyer with the sensational Rishabh Pant. And then comes Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar. Can you beat this batting line up?
This team bats so deep and all eight are match winners on their days. It will be near impossible for any team to restrict this kind of batting line up. You score anything, India will chase it down. Batting first they will just take the game away from any opponent. I am seeing a virtual whitewash or a 4-1 result.” MSK Prasad told Insidesport.co in an exclusive interview on Thursday.

MSK Prasad mentioned that he will stick to this playing XI in the first 3 matches and “if India wins the series 3-0 or lead 2-1 then I would say one of the senior players like Virat or Rohit can give chance to Suryakumar Yadav or Ishan Kishan. In Spite of winning and doing well, India should continue its rotation policy to try out its best possible combination ahead of World T20 to be held later this year,” he observed.

India vs England 1st T20: No place for Axar Patel in Indian playing XI says MSK Prasad
Asked about his bowling combination to complete the “Playing XI”, the former chairman of selection committee said he would go with pace duo of Bhubaneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar with Hardik Pandya as third seamer while Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar will be his preferred spin duo. “In the shortest format of the game I will go with 3 seamers and 2 spinners and the role of all rounders like Hardik and Sundar will be crucial. Bhubanehswar’s experience cannot be ignored, Chahar has been very accurate and consistent while Chahal’s control and street smartness is always handy in this format,” he noted.
