The first clash of the three-match series takes place at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday (July 25).

As per World Weather Online, Weather today in R.Premadasa Stadium, Khettarama, Colombo, Sri Lanka is going to be heavy rain with a maximum temperature of 28°c and minimum temperature of 25°c. Even AccuWeather predicts heavy cloud clover (88%) with 83-86% chances of precipitation during the day and night. The cards also predict a high level of humidity.

The rain gods even played spoilsport in the third ODI where the match was reduced to a 47-over per side. The prediction for the rain is high even in the first T20I clash which might see the entire match getting washed out entirely. Speculations regarding the arrival of rain prior to the contest, which might delay the beginning of the proceedings due to wet outfields are also rife.
