India tour of Sri Lanka: Indian team returns from Sri Lanka without 3 Covid-19 positive players, Shaw & Surya – Shikhar Dhawan led Indian cricket has returned from Sri Lanka from their limited-overs tour on Friday. However three Indian players – Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham – are still in Sri Lanka as they were tested positive for Covid-19. The trio is in isolation in a hotel while Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw are expected to fly to England on July 31.(IND vs SL)

India all-rounder Krunal Pandya was tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the second T20I which meant that nine Indian cricketers will be in isolation. India played with only five batsmen in the last two T20Is. On Friday, morning Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham were also tested positive and had to stay back in Sri Lanka.(IND vs SL)

While on the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw also stayed back in Sri Lanka as BCCI is making arrangements for the duo to fly to England as early as possible to join the Indian test squad ahead of the five-match Test series.

Three Indian cricketers – Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar- who were on the England tour got injured due to which BCCI had to agree to send two players to the UK. Shaw and Yadav will have to stay in hotel quarantine before joining Team India.
