Indian boxing star Rajesh Kumar Luka’s clash against Bright Ayala for the WBC World Youth lightweight title at the inaugural edition of International Pro Boxing Night has been rescheduled due to a minor injury.
Sports management, infrastructure and talent hunt company Royal Sports Promotion had last month announced the International Pro Boxing Night at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Gurugram, Delhi NCR on September 15 with Neo Sports as the official broadcaster.
The fight, originally scheduled for September 15, would have given Luka a shot at his second time victory after having claimed the WBC World Youth lightweight title. Post Ayala’s injury announcement, the fight has now been rescheduled to October 6th and the same venue i.e Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Gurugram.
Jai Shekhawat, Director of Royal Sports Promotion, said, “Bright needs two week time to recover from minor injury. We are excited for the youth world championship fight, consequently, we have to reschedule the fight to give them a chance for fair competition.”
“I assure my fans that I will make them happy, this will be my Diwali gift to them. Like it should have been in September but God knows best why it won’t happen, the revised date is around Diwali and I will make sure my fans celebrate,” 23-year-old Luka affirmed.
Established in 2016, Royal Sports Promotion is a talent scouting company for Professional Boxing in India having many national as well as international tie-ups and affiliations such as with Asian Boxing Federation and World Boxing Council (WBC) as its official promoter.
