Yellow army’s all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will be out of action for the next two weeks in the 2019 VIVO Indian Premier League after sustaining a hamstring injury during the previous match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 3.
“It’s a Grade 1 hamstring strain. He is going to be out for two weeks. It’s a big loss. Obviously, he offers so much balance to the team and obviously his quality as a player,” CSK batting coach Michael Hussey told a news conference in Chennai ahead of Saturday’s (April 6) home game against Kings XI Punjab.
“It’s going to cause a little bit of rejigging of the team, but I’m sure we will still be able to put together a very strong XI. It’s a big loss for us, but we have had these challenges in the past and we have been able to overcome them. Let us hope we can do that again,” the Australian great added.
Chennai Super Kings will play their 5th game of this season today against the red lions at the Cheapuk stadium at 4:00 pm IST.
